Here’s further proof that beer make baseball more watchable.
A Chicago Cubs fan made a play for the ages by catching a foul ball with her cup of ale, providing the most memorable highlight of Saturday’s 7-6 win over the San Diego Padres.

Without missing a beat, she then chugged the beer – with ball still in cup – to the delight of the Wrigley Field crowd.
The woman, identified as Krista Dotzenrod by the Chicago Sun Times, attributed her amazing feat to luck.
“I was sitting there, and all of a sudden there is a ball in my cup. It fell straight in there.”
Like a true champ, Dotzenrod seized the moment for all it was worth and pounded her beer – a Goose Island Green Line – until there was nothing left but a baseball in her cup.
“Everyone behind me told me to chug my beer,” she said. “So I did.”
“It all happened in five seconds.”
Just as quickly, Dotzenrod became the object of affection of several Twitter admirerers who flooded her with date requests.
“That is funny to me,” the 24-year-old Minnesota native said. “I am single.”
