The landscaping at the home once owned by Rory McIlroy won an award for being the best in Ireland.
This luxury home once owned by golf superstar Rory McIlroy could be yours… for $ 3.8 million.
Robinhall House in Moneyreagh, Ireland, comes with a world-class nine-hole golf course, tennis court and gym.
The five-bedroom property also has 14 acres of landscaped gardens which have won awards, reports Belfast Live.
Simon Brien, who is selling Robinhall House in Moneyreagh, said it was worth more than the $ 3.8 million asking price.
A four-time major champion, Rory McIlroy’s former Ireland estate features a nine-hole golf course.
“Both of the owners to date have invested significantly in the property – so much so that a recent estimate to build the property and establish the unique amenities including the nine-hole ‘world-class’ golf course, tennis court, the freshwater lake and the landscaped gardens would actually cost upwards of $ 6.1 million,” he said.
“There is nothing like it in Ireland. It represents an opportunity for a buyer to have a truly unique property that offers privacy, luxurious contemporary living, lifestyle and heritage.
“We are anticipating huge interest in the property and are already targeting markets throughout Europe and the U.S.”
Outside the property there is a converted barn featuring the gym with a kitchenette and office space separate to the house. Garaging exists for at least three cars and flexible accommodation for a live-in au-pair.
Among the flood-lit walkways there is an all-weather tennis court, an outdoor barbecue area, mature gardens and a luxury outdoor hot tub overlooking the freshwater pond stocked with over 1,200 brown trout.
The surrounding gardens recently won an award for being one of the best landscaped gardens in Ireland with all paths leading to the immaculate golf course, which is in constant demand from both corporate clients and American golf tourists.
Gary McCausland, the property developer who currently owns Robinhall House, is selling up after over two years of family life in the unique home.
Rory McIlroy once called this 7,200-square foot house home, but the 14-acre estate is on the market for $ 3.8 million.
He said: “We have absolutely adored living in Robinhall House, however my professional commitments are increasingly taking me to London and Paris and we have found we are spending less and less time at home.
“After a lot of thought we feel it is time to let someone else enjoy what is truly a very special place.”
Fatigued four-time Major winner Rory missed the cut at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth last week.
But at least he had fun, playing a practice round with Niall Horan of One Direction and former Manchester United and England star Paul Scholes.
