Rick Nash organizes a little group therapy for the Rangers with screening of new Entourage movie.
TAMPA — Rick Nash’s entourage was a lot bigger than Vinny Chase’s on Thursday night.
The Rangers left wing set up a screening of the new Entourage movie for the Rangers players to see on their off night after a team meeting and dinner, Nash stepping up in the role of E, aka Eric Murphy, to organize perhaps some group therapy after the team’s tough overtime loss Wednesday in Game 3.
Derick Brassard – maybe Johnny Drama to Henrik Lundqvist’s Vince? – was the first to mention after Friday’s morning skate the team saw Entourage, which doesn’t hit theaters until June 3.
The Entourage crew are back in a new movie set to hit theaters in early June.
“We had some good times as a team yesterday,” Brassard said. “We had a team dinner, a good meeting. We would feel pretty good about ourselves winning this game tonight and going back in our building.”
Alain Vigneault, the Ari Gold keeping the ship on course, revealed it was Nash who set up the screening for after the meeting and dinner. He supported the endeavor. “All good,” Vingeault said.
We wonder how Kevin Connolly (the actor behind E), a lifelong Islanders fan, feels about the arch-rival Rangers using his new movie to get back in the playoff groove?
