The biggest sports day in years just got bigger.

With the Kentucky Derby, Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight, NFL draft and Yankees-Red Sox series already making Saturday, May 2 a huge sports day, the Rangers decided to join the party.

In a schedule released Tuesday by the NHL, Game 2 of the Rangers-Captitals Eastern Conference semifinals will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Garden. Game 1 is Thursday night at MSG.

Following Saturday’s Game, the series will be played every other day, with Games 3 and 4 in Washington on Monday, May 4 and Wednesday, May 6. Game 5 is scheduled for Friday, May 8 at the Garden, Game 6 is Sunday, May 10 in D.C. and a Game 7 would be Wednesday, May 13 at MSG.

The Caps earned the right to face the Rangers with their 2-1 win over the Islanders on Monday night.

Game 1: Thursday, April 30, 7:30 p.m. at Rangers, NBCSN

Game 2: Saturday, May 2, 12:30 p.m. at Rangers, Ch. 4

Game 3: Monday, May 4, 7:30 p.m. at Capitals, NBCSN

Game 4: Wednesday, May 6, 7:30 p.m. at Capitals, NBCSN

*Game 5: Friday, May 8, 7 p.m. at Rangers NBCSN

*Game 6: Sunday, May 10, at Capitals TBD

*Game 7: Wednesday, May 13, TBD at Rangers
