Mighty finally wises up and picks the White Sox – no wonder there is a surplus!
Mike Morris, President of the Mamaroneck branch of the MQFC with a baseball legend sighting: “While attending one of my many gigs, I met baseball Hall of Famer Joe Torre. After sharing a few words with him, coincidentally, we use the same dry cleaner, Solo Clean, and love the same pizza, Sal’s Pizza, both in Mamaroneck. Mr. Torre went ahead and asked for my address because he wanted to send me something. Sure enough, a man of his word, I received this in the mail! (Two autographed Joe Torre HOF ‘14 baseballs). Thanks Joe!!! I’ll be giving them up to raffle off at my next Knights of Columbus Council 327, Hell’s Kitchen, NYC Charity in his honor!”
Mighty replied: “What else did you expect? Joe, like Mighty, is a Brooklyn kid. BTW, if you see Joe again, tell him at my Rosedale Little League awards dinner in 1963, the guest speaker was none other than… Torre. Not Joe, but his brother Frank.”
Mighty hit with the White Sox on Monday and likes the Padres on Tuesday. The surplus is 100 sirignanos.
