Jacoby Ellsbury is not in the Yankees’ lineup for the Subway Series finale after leaving Saturday’s loss to the Mets in the eighth inning with a tight hip.

“He was better today and he was going to try it, but I sort of shut him down,” Joe Girardi said before the game. “I was going to give him a day off anyway in the next four days.

“But I think it’s kind of silly if you have to leave the game in the middle, so I shut him down and hopefully he’ll be in there (Monday).”

The $ 153 million center fielder, who is tied for fourth in the AL with 14 runs scored, missed time in spring training with an oblique injury. Chris Young will start in center Sunday night against the Mets.
