The Islanders are playing their final games at Nassau Coliseum, and some fans are taking pieces of the old barn back home with them.
Some Islanders fans are literally taking their memories from Nassau Coliseum with them.
At least one seat was stolen from the Long Island arena on Sunday after Game 3 of the Isles’ first round playoff series against the Capitals. A folding chair was temporarily put in place of the stolen seat, but was replaced hours before Game 4 on Tuesday. Section 305, Row K, Seat 7 is now labeled Seat No. 13 and is green instead of the blue seats that surround it.
The Islanders will pack up and move to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center — and all of its 18,100 seats — beginning next season.
